Mornings, Made Simple

I’m not naturally a morning person, but with a corporate schedule and an early start, I’ve learned how important it is to begin the day with a clear, grounded mind. For me, that starts with simplifying my mornings and being intentional about how I ease into the day.
The hardest habit to break is reaching for my phone—checking Instagram, replying to texts, or turning on the news. It instantly puts my mind into overdrive, no thanks. Instead, I’ve been leaning into the idea of mindfulness—starting the day in a way that feels calm, present, and unrushed.
That means no electronics for the first 30 minutes. Just slowing down.
I’ll grab my favorite mug, make a cup of tea, and take a moment to actually enjoy it—holding the warmth, savoring the quiet. It sounds simple, but it shifts everything.
I also love cooking, so breakfast has become part of the ritual. Cutting fresh fruit, cracking an egg, moving through each step with intention—it feels like a small, personal art form.
There’s something really grounding about being present in those early moments. Turning the ordinary into something meaningful. These are mornings, made simple.
